"There is a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in." – Leonard Cohen

Perched on the southeastern tip of Hong Kong Island, Cape D’Aguilar Lighthouse (鶴咀燈塔) has stood as a silent guardian over the South China Sea since 6 April 1875. Named after Major-General Sir George Charles d'Aguilar, a British Army officer who served as Lieutenant Governor of Hong Kong (1843–1848), it remains one of Hong Kong’s declared monuments—a timeless beacon that has guided sailors through mist and storm for over a century.
